Expanded Course Description
This course aims to equip students with philosophical tools, concepts, and questions related to philosophical ethics by providing an in-dept analysis and examination of ethical and moral theories from a wide range of authors and philosophers. This course will cover a variety of foundational philosophical works within the Western philosophical tradition, along with contemporary issues related to politics, race, and gender/sexuality that will expand ethical questions beyond the traditional philosophical canon. Ethical topics covered in this course ranges from metaethics, moral absolutism, moral relativism, feminism, existential ethics, business ethics, civil rights, and social justice. |
