Expanded Course Description
Through interactive, community-engaged learning, students will research, observe and interpret how Spanish and English are used in local organizations and how the impact these organizations have on our community in areas such as migration, human rights, and cultural heritage. The focus of this course goes beyond our UO community to encompass the larger “public” of Spanish-speaking Lane County residents, primarily centered on Eugene and Springfield. Taught in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 203, SPAN 228 or by instructor approval.
