Expanded Course Description
This course, which is the first of three in the sequence, introduces students to the subject of discrete mathematics. Topics include basic notions of set theory, elementary logic, propositional calculus, and study of methods of proofs. In addition, the course introduces students to graphs, matrices, equivalence relations, mathematical induction, and recursion.
