Expanded Course Description
This one-credit workshop prepares graduate teaching fellows to teach as instructor of record in undergraduate English classes. It aims to provide concrete, practical advice on key aspects of teaching undergraduate classes in literature or media: pedagogy; assisting in large lecture classes; managing classes of 40 students; teaching print and digital texts; drawing up syllabi; making lesson plans; crafting paper topics; handling challenging students.
