Expanded Course Description
This course builds on GER 202 and offers an introduction to more complex structures of German grammar and vocabulary expansion; practice of all four skills with particular emphasis on reading. Course topics typically include national identity, foreigners in Germany, cultural trends in contemporary Germany. Extensive reading includes one longer prose text by a contemporary German, Swiss, or Austrian writer.
