Expanded Course Description
This course is designed for students with beginning-intermediate level of Russian. It is aimed at further development of all four basic language skills: oral comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. The central goal of the course is communication, together with raising the linguistic skills of students and broadening their vocabulary. Thematically the course is adjusted to serve these goals; broad and variable vocabulary allows a personalized approach to each topic. Each thematic section is supported by authentic Russian texts of different genres, both in the book and on CDs. Students review those grammatical structures that they have covered in the First Year of Russian, and complete the basic course of Russian, achieving the intermediate level.
