Expanded Course Description
Examines political, socioeconomic, and cultural issues of the increasingly multi-ethnic German society. We will discuss how the politics of immigration, ethnicity, and national identity have changed over the past decades. We will analyze critical essays, film and discuss writings by authors representing the plural voices in German society. No knowledge of German required; readings and discussions in English.
