Expanded Course Description
Three terms of DAN 125 First Year Seminar are required of first year BFA majors in dance. DAN 125 will provide a general orientation to dance as a field of study in higher education with a specific focus on opportunities in dance and allied studies at UO. Students will develop an overview of historical, theoretical, contemporary creative and written research in dance. Strategies will be explored for success in UO’s BFA program and for success in a career in dance. Topics will change each term as individualized experiences based on the interests and skills of students enrolled in the course.
