Expanded Course Description
This course advances the fundamentals you learned about field production in Gateway or Cinema Studies. The class will focus on the aesthetics of collecting and editing video and sound –so that you can tell your stories creatively, compellingly and professionally. To accomplish that, you will learn the essentials of framing, lighting, audio collection and video editing. In addition, you will learn the practical organization needed to see a project through from concept to completion—with a professional level of collaboration exercised through per-production, production and post-production. You will pitch, plan, produce and present a number of exercises and projects. You will be using digital card cameras and a non-linear editing system to produce your work.
