Expanded Course Description
| Student Dance Collective is an advanced dance performance ensemble modeled after a professional repertory dance company, which includes a collaborative rehearsal process and multiple live performances. Students work collaboratively with dance faculty, guest artists, and/or classmates to set, rehearse, and perform choreographic works to be presented to the public in a variety of venues throughout the academic year. Performance opportunities will include fully produced concerts, University of Oregon and School of Music and Dance events, academic conferences, community outreach, residencies and tours. Members of the University of Oregon Student Dance Collective (UOSDC) will serve as ambassadors for the UO Dance department by representing its mission, curriculum, and programming, which center on equity, inclusion, and service. The BFA degree in dance requires 3 enrollments for the degree. Enrollment is by audition. |
