Expanded Course Description
How do our jobs and consumer products both facilitate and frustrate our efforts to live well? Given that our social structures of enterprise and exchange are the hands that feed us, what doesa responsible critique of business look like, and what do we hope to achieve by it? Where are thelines between personal identity and work roles? The class explores these and other questions using classic philosophical essays, contemporary reflections on business ethics, cases, movies, fiction, and guest speakers.
