Expanded Course Description
In this class, we will take the basic questions of ethics, such as how to live a ‘good’ life, to a deeper level. How do we decide what makes a life or an action good in the first place? How are certain groups of people included or excluded in this framework? And finally, what are the wider political ramifications to our individual moral or ethical principles? The course will engage in both classical and critical answers to these and many more questions about moral philosophy.
